Please join us for our next AAPSNet meeting on Tuesday, November 8 at 6:30 p.m. Yes, we know it's election day! However, we would like to keep our meetings on the same day each month, the second Tuesday. We will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Rockwell branch of the Wichita Public Library, located at 5939 E. 9th Street (between Edgemoor and Woodlawn, a few blocks north of Central).
Autistic Adults and Parents Support Network (AAPSNet) was formed to provide a support group for adults who have high-functioning autism and their parents. We seek to provide a place for others to share information, resources, and ideas for young adults and parents facing the challenges and difficulties when trying to obtain employment, go to college, and form social relationships. We do not provide medical or legal advice.
Per the IRS, we are a "small, small nonprofit" and incorporated as a nonprofit in the state of Kansas. Our mission statement is as follows:
The mission of Autistic Adults and Parents Support Network is to provide support, networking, exchange of information, and social opportunities for high-functioning adults on the autism spectrum and their parents. AAPSNet aims to serve as a clearinghouse regarding resources available to parents and their high-functioning young adult children. We also seek to educate those who either work with or develop policies for adults with autism.
